Entrepreneur Hakan Ak from Erzurum Increased Exports of Medical Products and Laboratory Materials with State Support


Entrepreneur Hakan Ak, operating in Erzurum, developed his business with the support of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) and increased the export and employment of medical products and laboratory materials.


Ak, which produces in its factory with a closed area of 4 thousand 500 square meters in Aziziye Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), expanded its business with the support it received from KOSGEB's Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program in 2021. In this way, Ak, whose production speed increased, employment increased and strengthened its brand in the sector, also benefited from KOSGEB's Research and Development (R&D) Innovation Support Program and received machinery and equipment hardware support.

This year, Ak, which received refundable support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology's SME Technoinvestment Support Program, exports its products to many countries, especially its branches in Italy, Germany and Azerbaijan.

Explaining that they started exporting with Turkish states, Hakan Ak said, "We sell domestically and internationally. We have branches in Germany, Italy and Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and in Ankara and Istanbul in the country. We produce plastic consumables for hospital and laboratory services. For 2024." "We aim to export around 4-5 million dollars." said.

Ak, who aims to eliminate foreign dependency in the sector, noted that he wants to make a separate contribution to the economy by producing clinical products purchased from abroad in the future.
